Marjorie F. Elliott of 5380 County Rout 31 passed away on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 in the Highland Healthcare Center in Wellsville, surrounded by her loving husband and family, following an lengthy illness. Marge was born on June 2, 1931 in Nile, NY and was a daughter of Vincent "Toby" and Ruby Sortore Middaugh. On July 4, 1950 in Belmont she married her husband of 65 years, William G. Elliott, who survives. Marge was a graduate of Belmont Central School. She worked at AVX Ceramics in Olean for 23 years and retired in 1991. Marge was a kind, loving & strong willed lady who always, always, always put her family first. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, doing ceramics and traveling with her husband and friends. Surviving Marge, besides her husband are seven children, Judy M. (Brad) Spink of Olean, Nancy L. (Harland) Seger of Wellsville, W. Kirby Elliott of Belmont, Kerry W. (Cathy Harvey) Elliott of Scio, Jeff W. (Karen) Elliott of Belmont, Brenda J. Weiser of Brockport, and Tracy L. (Terry) Smith of Bergen; eighteen grandchildren, Lisa, Nicole, Chad, Brandi, Dustin, Jessica, Samantha, Christopher, Kati, Trisha Marybeth, Stephanie, Melissa, Joseph, Meghan, Matthew, Sara, and Erin; 35 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; nine siblings, Donald (Norma) Middaugh of Friendship, Maurice (Ellen) Middaugh of Belmont, Douglas (Carol) Middaugh of Scio, Onalee (Darrel) Scharf of Belfast, Joyce Clark of Belfast, Marilyn Miller of Belfast, Fred (Helen) Middaugh of Friendship, Ralph (Ruth) Middaugh of Belmont, and Roger (Sylvia) Middaugh of Scio; and many many many nieces and nephews. Marge was pre-deceased by one son, Kevin Elliott on Jan. 11, 1983; and two brothers, Vincent & Richard Middaugh. Friends will be received on Monday, Jan. 11, 2016 from 2:00 pm to 4:00pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Genesee Pkwy, Cuba. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Genesis Bible Church, Scio. The Rev. Marc J. Chamberlin, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Forrest Hill Cemetery, Belmont. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Scio Fire Department or the Wellsville Ambulance Squad.
