Josephine F. Carpenter of 168 W. Main St., Fiddler's Green Nursing home, formerly of 1 Edwards Court in Olean, and also Cuba, passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at Fiddler's Green Nursing Home.
Josephine was born June 28, 1943 in Cuba and was a daughter of Clair Edward and Grace Ross Bump, Sr. She married Jack Carpenter, who predeceased her. Josephine worked as a waitress at a number of places including, the Bowlean in Olean for many years. She enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls.
Josephine is survived by two children, Ricky Bump, and Lisa Carpenter both of Olean; three grandchildren, Alex Bump, Devon and Zaraivon Carpenter; and three siblings, Louise Bump of Ashville, NC, Clair (Naomi) Bump, Jr. of Portville, and Sam Bump of Ozark, AL.
As per the family's request, there will be no public Visitation or Services. Burial will be in the Citronelle United Methodist Cemetery, Citronelle, Alabama.
