Frank D. Marcello of 8970 Stout Rd passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 shortly after arrival at the Olean General Hospital. Frank was born August 12, 1933 in Batavia, the son of Thomas and Santa "DeFelice" Marcello. On April 25, 1952, in Batavia he married his wife of 36 years, Eileen Herrick, who predeceased him on January 11, 1989. After college, Frank, worked in the meat packing industry. He owned and operated Wil-Par Packing Co. in Buffalo for a number of years before his retirement. Frank was an avid Yankee fan and enjoyed cooking. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed going to the "Kopper Keg" to eat, but his true joy was his kids and especially his grandkids that were the apple of his eye. Surviving Mr. Marcello are two sons and a daughter, Robert W. (Edythe) Marcello of Cuba, NY, John P. (Rita) Marcello of Buffalo, NY, and Kathleen (Joseph) Rossi of Robbinsville, NJ; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; his loving sister, Elizabeth Rose of Batavia, NY; and a special friend, Larry Shaffer of Cuba, NY. Frank was predeceased by four siblings, Tony, Alex, Mary and Anna. Friends will be received in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #24 Genesee Pkwy. Cuba, NY on Monday, July 9, 2012 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, at which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. Dennis Mancuso, Pastor of Our Lady of Angels Church, will officiate. Entombment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Tonawanda, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Elm and Carlton Street, Buffalo, NY 14263.
