Delloeen W. Skroback of 9871 Prosser Road, Lot 4 went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 19, 2010, at home.
Mrs. Skroback was born May 24, 1925 in Willing and was a daughter of Forrest and Jessie Fanton Wilson. On Dec. 7, 1946 in Friendship she married her husband Theodore F. Skroback, who pre-deceased her on July 30, 1962.
Mrs. Skroback was a graduate of Olean High School. She first worked for Thancher Glass then ACME before going to work at ALCAS. She moved to Tucson, AZ in the mid 1970's and moved back in 1987 after her retirement fro the Tucson Tribune.
Mrs. Skroback attended Grace Alliance Church in Olean. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, reading her Bible, traveling and music especially Gospel, Country and Polka. Mrs. Skroback was especially known for baking good homemade pies.
Surviving Mrs. Skroback is survived by three sons, Paul (Frann) Wilson of Olean, Keith T. Skroback, and Randy J. (Judy) Skroback; a daughter, Julie F. Skroback of Portville; six grandsons; two granddaughters; two great grandsons; six great granddaughters; one great great granddaughter; a sister, Pauline L. Wilson of Portville; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Shari Common of Portville.
Mrs. Skroback was pre-deceased by her parents, a sister Geraldine Thomas, a grandson Paul E. Wilson and a great granddaughter Miranda Shaw.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 1:00 PM. The Rev. Andy Bashwinger, Pastor of the Grace Alliance Church in Olean will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany, NY.
