Thomas L. Previglian

Thomas L. Previglian went to be with our Lord Jesus Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010. Formerly of 131 South 3rd Street and recently of 4115 S. Nine Mile Road, Valley View Estates, Allegany, he had been a resident of the Bradford Ecumenical Home since August of 2008 where he passed away surrounded by his loving family. Born in Olean on February 4, 1916, he spent his early years in Chicago returning to Olean as a teenager and graduating from Olean High School in 1934. He entered the work force at the former Clark Brothers testing iron and sand in the foundry, working through the changes from Dresser-Clark to Dresser-Rand to Dresser Industries. His employment was from the foundry to machine shop, to blue-print lay-out table, to foreman of machine shop to key scheduler before his early retirement after 43 years of service on Dec. 31, 1977. He was an avid trout-fly fisherman and gun enthusiast until ill health prevented him from participating in his lifetime loves. He was well known at Gun Shows and Sporting Goods stores in the area. His knowledge of guns and trout fishing was unexcelled. On August 15, 1950, he married the former Betty Wilbur of Friendship. They celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary in 2010. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Thomas (Darla) Previglian Chambers of Noble, OK, and Todd L. Previglian of Olean; three daughters, Terry L. (John) Rogosienski of Olean, Tina L. (Bruce) George of Bradford, PA, and Tonya L. Previglian of Buffalo; two brothers, Joseph (Ann Herndon) Frisina of Winston-Salem, NC, and Albert Frisina of The Villages, FL; five grandsons, Thomas R. (Darlene) Previglian of Salamanca, Christopher J. Previglian of New Jersey, David M. (Jessica) Previglian of Stratford, NJ, Chad J. (Jessica) Rogosienski of Olean, and Scott J. Rogosienski of Ischua; two granddaughters, Kara M. George of Pittsburgh, PA, and Lauren A. George of Bradford, PA; six great-grandchildren, Noah Thomas, Maggie Kate, Liam Tomas, Mary Kay, Daniel Thomas Previglian, and Ryan Joseph Rogosienski. He was predeceased by his mother, Stella Previglian, and infant grandson, John Adam Rogosienski, an infant granddaughter, Jamie Lynn George, a sister, Anne Sczudlo, and a brother, Donald Frisina. Friends will be received on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean. Funeral and committal services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010 in the United Pentecostal Church, 1100 Homer Street at 10:00 AM. The Rev. Steven W. Beattie, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. View Cemetery, Olean. Memorial may be sent to the United Pentecostal Church, 1100 Homer Street, Olean, NY 14760, the Bradford Ecumenical Home, 100 St. Francis, Bradford, PA 16701 or the Rose Pappas Endowment c/o Community Foundation, 120 S.
