Douglas A. Lewis of 125 South Barry St.,Olean, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at home from an apparent heart attack. Mr. Lewis was born in Olean on July 19, 1960 in Olean and was the son of Daryl and Donna Mae Stoll Lewis. Mr. Lewis attended Olean High School. He was a cook for a number of restaurants in the area including Perkins Restaurant for 13 years from 1988-2001. Mr. Lewis worked odd jobs for a number of years after that until he retired due to illness. He enjoyed all sports, music, especially Jazz. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Lewis is survived by his mother, Donna Mae Swanson of Smethport; one brother, David C. (Rhonda) Lewis of Olean; two sisters, Ruthann Riehle of Conewango, and Kathryn F. Darcy of Smethport; and six nephews & two nieces. Mr. Lewis is predeceased by a fianc�', Linda Johnston on Dec. 3, 1999. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean on Monday, March 8, 2010 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM at which time funeral and committal services will be held. The Rev. Douglas E. Travis, Pastor of the Harvest Field Outreach Center, will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean, NY.
