Margaret Ann Childs

Margaret Ann Childs of 350 Front street, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the Olean General Hospital, following a brief illness. Margaret was born April 8, 1941 in Olean and was a daughter of Gilbert Monroe and Evelyn Margaret Hedberg Childs, Sr. She graduated from Otto-Eldred High School in 1959. Margaret lived in Dover, Delaware from 1961 to 1968, returning to Eldred and then moved to Olean in October of 2014. Margaret enjoyed selling Tupperware. She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Margaret is survived by thee children, Richard T. Hurrle of Allegany, Roger A. (Diane) Carillion of Long Island, and Barb S. (Kip) Lewis of Salamanca; six grandchildren, Chelsea, Peter, Mark, Kyle, Miranda, & Marlie; and one brother, Gilbert M. (Caren) Childs, Jr. of Richburg. Margaret was predeceased by her parents; and a son, Michael Alan Hurrle on Oct. 14, 1965. Friends will be received at the Mt. Zion Christian Assembly, 321 Front Street, Olean, on Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. Stephen A. Patrick, Senior Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Lamphier Cemetery in Eldred, PA. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Zion Christian Assembly, #321 Front Street, Olean, New York 14760.
