Dora M. Lindemuth, of 6741 Michael Rd., passed away Saturday, Sep. 14, 2013 shortly after arrival at Mercy Hospital, Buffalo following an illness. Dora was a daughter of Frank W. and Amy (Thayer) Brown. She was born in Hinsdale on Jan. 8, 1924. On April 11, 1942 at the First Methodist Church in Bradford, PA, she married her husband of 48 years, William Clayton "Tate" Lindemuth, who predeceased her in July 13, 1990. Dora graduated from Olean High School in 1940. During World War II she was employed at the mortar bomb and fire bomb plants near Eldred, PA and later at Rocky Crest Sanatorium on Rocky City Hill. From 1948 until she retired in 1979, Dora worked as an LPN / Medical Technician at J.N. Adam Memorial Hospital in Perrysburg and West Seneca State School. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and reading in her free time. Dora is survived by one stepson, Dr. Clayton C. (Angela) Lindemuth of Edinboro, PA; five step grandsons; and many nieces & nephews. Along with her loving husband, Dora was predeceased by four siblings, Francis, William, and Laverne Brown, and Bina Isaman; A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, Sep. 19, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean. The Rev. Janet James, Pastor of the United Methodist Church of Orchard Park will officiate. Burial will be at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean.
