Mary Ann Hirliman of 121 N. 21st Street, Olean passed away today, Thursday, May 08, 2008 after arrival at Olean General Hospital.
Mrs. Hirliman was born on May 5, 1945 in Olean, and is the daughter of John and Tina Lucy Chiapuso Fidurko. On Feb. 10, 1968, at St. John's Church, she married John W. Hirliman, who survives.
Mrs. Hirliman was a 1963 graduate of Olean High School. She worked as a waitress at the Alcove Restaurant from 1964 to 1965 and at AVX from 1965 to 1969. Mrs. Hirliman babysat for neighbors and school teachers. She was a member of St, Mary of the Angels Church, the Pulaski Club and St. Steven Auxiliary.
Mrs. Hirliman and her husband wintered in Lake Wale, Fl for the last four years. She loved camping, dancing, playing Bingo, but most of all, she enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hirliman is survived by three daughters, Rose M. (Rick) Mikolajczyk of Olean, Lisa J. (Kim) Morrow of Olean, and Kristina A. (Mike Rivera) Hirliman of Olean; four brothers, William (Diane) Fidurko of Needham, MA., Joseph Fidurko of Elmira, NY, Bernard (Lorie) Fidurko of Rochester, and John (Andrea) Fidurko of Olean; one sister, Bernadette "Dolly" (Case) Jones of Olean; seven grandchildren, Ricky, Ryan, and Riley Mikolajczyk, Justin, Brandon and Tori Morrow, and Alyse Rivera; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Friday, May 9, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc.#646 E. State Street, Olean . Funeral services will begin with a prayer at 9:00 am at the funeral home followed by a mass of Christian burial at 9:30 am at St. Mary's of the Angels Church in Olean. The Rev. Gregory J. Dobson will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary of the Angels Church.
