Elsie L. Murray

Elsie L. Murray of 500 East Spring Street Aspen Manor Apt. #3, formerly of Dunkirk, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at the Absolute at Salamanca Nursing Home. Mrs. Elsie L. Murray was born on January 26, 1921 in Franklinville and is the daughter of Frank and Hattie Hotchkiss Lockwood. Her husband Edward Murray who pre-deceased her in 2001. Mrs. Murray worked for a number of years as a manager of the Dunkirk High School Cafeteria before her retirement. Surviving Mrs. Elsie L. Murray are two daughters, Peggy V. (Jack) Hayes of Sutherland, VA, and Onalee J. Winell of Olean; a son, Richard L. Varney of Brooksville, FL.; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a step mother, Velma Lockwood of Franklinville. At her request there will be no public visitation or funeral. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean.
