Edward T. Closser of 1112 Reed Street passed away Monday September 1, 2008 shortly after arriving at Olean General Hospital.
Mr. Closser was born on September 22, 1957 in Jamestown and was the son of Robert W. and Patricia A. Koch Closser.
Mr. Closser lived in a number of places including Texas and New York. He worked for three years as an auto mechanic for Terry Lahe and he has been working for Olean Class Cars for the past fifteen years.
Mr. Closser was a former volunteer fireman for Portville Fire Department and while he lived in Texas a volunteer Fireman for Clear City Texas. Mr. Closser was also a member of the Christopher Columbus Lodge.
Mr. Closser will be remembered as a person who loved life including fishing, cooking out and entertaining, but most of all he enjoyed fireworks.
Surviving Mr. Closser are three daughters, Ann M. Closser of Olean, Tonnia E. Theriault of Greenville, SC.; and Tomarra D. (Mark) Burns of Greenville, SC.; a brother, Robert E. (Cheryl L.) Closser of Lakewood; a sister, Suzanne I. (Nevel E.)Hegwood of Larkspur, Co.; two nieces, Renee M. Vanhorn and Brittany E. Closser; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a friend and roommate, Chris John Donnelly of Olean.
Friends will be received in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean Thursday, September 4, 2008from 2-4 P.M, at which time Funeral Services & Committal Services will be held. The Rev. Derek Cheek, Pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, will officiate.
