Chuck "Charlie Black Foot" Maine, of 519 1/2 E. Highland Ave., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017 at the Buffalo General Hospital, following an illness.
Chuck was born on Dec. 19, 1942 in Olean and was a son of Floyde E. and Rachel Simon Maine. He was formerly married to Mary Ellen Lyman.
Chuck owned and operated Maine's Paint and Auto Body Shop for over 40 years, until his retirement. He was a member of the Epic Church. Chuck enjoyed hunting fishing, arts & craft painting, trapping, restoring old cars, finding, and digging ging ging. He truly loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Chuck is survived by; 3 children, Russell Charles (Paris) Maine, Jr. of Olean, and Jeffery J. Maine and Cory J. (Dasie) Maine both of Waynesoro, VA; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 5 siblings, Virginia M. Hyde of Portville, Floyde E. Maine, Patty J. (Paul "Red) McGivisk, Ronald E. (Onley) Maine, and Edward Joseph Maine all of Olean; and many nieces and nephews.
Chuck was predeceased by; a daughter Kimberly Sue Maine on July 13, 2012 and 2 sisters, Shirley G. Solarek in 2007 and Rose E. Kirk in 2012.
Friends will be received at the Epic Church, 411 W. Henley St., Olean on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at which time a Going Home Celebration will be held. The Rev. Chuck Maine, Pastor, will officiate.
