Elizabeth A. "Betty" Koch, of 1324 North Union Street, formerly of Allegany & Black Creek, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at the Absolut Care of Allegany, following a brief illness. Betty was born June 21, 1950 in Buffalo and was a daughter of Francis and Mary Moot Koch. She was a 1968 graduate of Kenmore East High School. Betty began working in a Social Security office in Olean in 1978 until her retirement in 2004, after being with them for 26 years. She was formerly a very active member of the St. Mary of the Angels Parish, including being a member of the parish council. Betty was a foster parent for many years. She enjoyed going on many trips and especially going to Disney World in Florida. Betty also enjoyed reading and talking on the phone. Betty is survived by; 3 children, Brandi J. Little of Maryland, Jessica A. (Jim) McHenry of Hinsdale, and David T. Koch of Olean; 7 grandchildren; 4 siblings, Francis Koch of Martha's Vineyard, MA, Ken (Linda) Koch of Grand Island, Mary Ann, and Kathy Valenti of Grand Island. Betty was predeceased by; her parents and a brother Robert Koch. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E. State Street, Olean today, Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. Bruce Taylor, pastor of Abundant Life Ministries, will officiate. Burial will be in the Black Creek Cemetery. Online condolences may be made by clicking the button above.
