Rose E. Howard, of 110 East Main Street, formerly of Olean, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017, at Strong Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving children.
Rose was born on Jan 25, 1949 and was a daughter of Frank A. "Chic" and Gloria J. Sutherland Aiello. She was formerly married to Robert D. Howard.
Rose graduated from Olean High School in 1967. She worked for AVX for a number of years. Rose attended New Penn Beauty School and became a beautician. She went to work at the Shampoo House and then Loeffler's Beauty Supply, before going to work as an Instructor at Continental Beauty School for 12 years, retiring in 2012.
Rose is a former member of St. John's Catholic Church. She will be remembered as a HUGE Buffalo Bills Fan, who really got excited on "Game Day" and watching them play. Rose also enjoyed cooking, going to the casino, playing bingo, and being outside. But most of all she loved her family, her children and her grandchildren and enjoyed being with and spending time with them.
Rose is survived by three children, Terri L. (Adrienne Wolfe) Howard of Bradford, PA, Elizabeth M. (Scott) Lemmer of West Henrietta and Robert O. (Jaicianne) Howard of Olean; four grandchildren, Caedyn, Trey, Gia, & Wyatt; five siblings, Dennis E. (Connie) Hall of Daytona Beach, FL, Frank A. (Nancy) Aiello of Olean, William J. (Patricia) Aiello of Olean, Robert A. (Jan) Aiello of Horseheads, and Sandra L. (David) Frey of Bradford, PA; one sister-in-law, Cynthia Aiello of Allegany; an aunt, Philomena J. "Mimi" Aiello of Allegany; and many nieces and nephews.
Rose was predeceased by her parents; and one brother, James R. Aiello on 11/16/2008.
Friends will be received on Tuesday July 11, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E. State Street, Olean, where Funeral Services will Be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 11:00 am. The Rev. F. Patrick Melfi, Pastor of St. John's Catholic Church, will officiate.
