Denise L. Calixto, of 220 Genesee St., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017 at the Olean General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family following a long illness.
Denise was born on July 10, 1959 in Ft. Campbell, KY and was a daughter of Donald E. and Donna L. Roberts Gauntner.
Denise was a 1978 graduate of Portville Central School. She spent time in Southern California. Denise enjoyed art, drawing, arts & crafts, crocheting, and reading her Bible and religious books.
Denise was a loving, passionate, care-giving person. She was strong and a real fighter. Denise was dedicated and inspiring & had a big heart. She was a dreamer with a kind heart and a caring soul, that she devoted to Jesus. May God bless, Denise Grace, as he welcomes her to heaven. We know you're in a better place now, a place where you belong. Running on the sands along the ocean and picking up every seashell.
Every good parent has one thing in common: The hope they can watch their children live a life better than the one they had. Denise brought six children into the world who she can be proud of. She will live on through her children.
Denise is survived by her father, Donald E. Gauntner of Seven Valley, PA; her mother, Donna L. (Jim) Monterville of Olean; six children, Joshua (Petty) Rader of Encino, CA, Christopher Rader of Olean, Dusten (Allysa) Rader of Little Falls, Michael Rader of Fullerton, CA, Paigely Rader of Mexico and Francisco Gauntner of Olean; four grandchildren, Lucas, Audrey, Kimberly, & Luis; two siblings, Danna L. (Rick Stromoski) Gauntner of Suffield, CT and Donald E. Gauntner of Oakland Park, FL; two stepsisters, Mary (Brian) Beatty of Olean and Tracy Cloud of Texas; one niece, Molly Stromoski of Brooklyn; one nephew, Nick Gauntner of Oakland Park, FL; and close friend, Jesus Virgin Crus of California.
