Olean- David George Siafakas “Loving Father & Grandfather” David George Siafakas of 6533 Hardscrabble Road passed away on Wednesday June 15, 2022. David was born on September 19, 1950, in Salamanca and was the son of George T. Siafakas and Lucille Ficek. David graduated from Salamanca High School in 1970. He bartended at the “Big Hat” before enlisting in the US Army on April 8, 1971, and he was honorably discharged on April 7, 1974. In 1981, David started working as a counselor for the New York State Division of Youth as well as being a NY Fire Inspector and NY Fire Police in the 1990s. David and his father co-owned the Pyramid Inn in Kill Buck; David was a member of the Church Without Walls. He was a member of the Salamanca VFW and American Legion, Dave also belonged to the Kill Buck Fire Department where was an assistant fire chief and fire commissioner. David enjoyed traveling especially to Las Vegas, Saint Martin, and cruises. He was an avid lover of the Seattle Seahawks, the Beach Boys and Shania Twain. David is survived by his three children, Rachael J. (Clarence) White-Bickell of Great Valley, Jason G. Siafakas of Kill Buck, Lyndsay J. (Jamie) Siafakas of Salamanca, nin grandchildren; Ashley, Trsiton, Zoie, Haidyn, Mariah, Summer, Lauren, Maya, and Bryalon, two siblings, Beck Siafakas and David A. (Tracey) Siafakas both of Kill Buck Friends will be received at the Church Without Walls 1803 West State Street Olean on Monday June 20, 2022, from 2:00-4:00pm. A memorial service will follow. The Rev. Tyrone Hall Pastor of the Church Without Walls will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Kill Buck Fie Department P.O Box 252 Kill Buck, NY 14748.
