Joann Elisha York

Eldred- Joann E. York “Loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother” Joann E. York of 493 Slack Hollow passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family, following an illness. Joann was born on October 28, 1955 in Canton, NY. She was the daughter of David and Doris Sanoma Rossenbarker. On August 30, 1976 in Canton Joann married her loving husband Byron York Sr. who survives. Joann loved to garden and take care of her birds. She took great pride in her lawn and enjoyed mowing. Above all she loved spending time with her family. Along with her loving husband, Byron, Joann is survived by her two children, Jamie (David) Myers of Smethport, Byron (Shannon) York of Eldred, Seven grandchildren, Shelby, Maytel, Chad, and Samantha, William, Robert, Juliana and several great grandchildren.
