Ceres – Susan Kay MacNeal “Loving Mother, Grandmother, & Sister” Susan Kay MacNeal of 98 Bells Brook Rd passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, December 6th, 2021, at Erie County Medical Center following a courageous batter with cancer. Sue was born on April 11th, 1959, in Rochester and was the daughter of Alan K. and Naomi F. Witter MacNeal. She was formerly married to Everett C. Stearns on December 29th, 1984, whom she remained close to. Sue was a 1977 graduate of Hinsdale Central School, where she was a member of the color guard. She was a bartender primarily at the Hinsdale Hotel as well as other establishments for over 17 years. She volunteered as the beloved camp cook for Campfire Boys and Girls Club before becoming a full-time employee with the organization. She was a hard worker who held several other jobs around the Olean Area, including Home Health Care. Sue enjoyed going camping, fishing, crafts, and going to the casino. Most of all she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them especially her “sister time”. Sue is survived by her 4 children, Troy M. (Tracy) MacNeal of Ceres, Jennifer C. Stearns-Elmer of Olean, Aaron L. Stearns of Hinsdale, and Rebecca S. Stearns of Olean, 10 grandchildren, Darrian, Hunter, Kaleb, Gavin, Alana, Hailey, Aaron Jr., Sawyer, Octavia, and Colten, her siblings, Debbie E. (Gene) Tomczyszyn of Rochester, Karen L. MacNeal of Umatilla, Florida, Jim A. (Ginny) MacNeal of Portville, Chuck E. (Julie) MacNeal of Hinsdale, many nieces and nephews, special cousins Ann (Skip) Curtis, and special friends Kim and Randy Cassidy. Sue was predeceased by her parents Alan and Naomi MacNeal and nephew Alan Pantano. Friends will be received on Saturday December 11th, 2021, at Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean from 1:00pm-3:00pm at which time funeral services will be held with Rev. Mike Sanders, Pastor of Five Mile Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery with her parents. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wilmot Infusion Cancer Center, 1504 West State Street, Olean NY 14760.
