Buffalo – Dorothy A. McMaster Dorothy A. McMaster A resident of McAuley Residence at 1503 Military Road, formerly of Allegany, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at home. Dorothy was born on May 12, 1924 in Somerville, MA and was the daughter of Arthur E. and Mary E. Martin McMaster. Dorothy was a class of 1943 Somerville High School graduate. She joined the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany at the young age of 21 in 1945. She remained in the Catholic Order for over 25 years until 1972. Dorothy is survived by; many & dear nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Dorothy was predeceased by nine siblings including her biological sister, Sr. Clare McMaster of the St. Elisabeth Motherhouse on March 17, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in the Church of Christ the King on the Corner of Main & Lamorck Street in Snyder on Thursday Dec. 9, 2021 at 10:00 am. The MSGR Paul Litwin, Pastor, will celebrate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany, NY. In lieu of flowers, if desired donations may be made to a favorite agency that helps provide for the poor and or disadvantaged children.
