Cuba – Sandra C. Lathrop “Loving Wife, Step Mother & Sister” Sandra C. Lathrop of 4436 Hamilton Hill Road, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at her home. Sandra was born Jan. 29, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA and was a daughter of Authur Adam and Aurora J. Martello Christian. On Jan. 25, 1980 at St Nicodemus Lutheran Church, Marilla, NY she married her husband Larry Lathrop, who survives. Sandra graduated from St. Elizabeth High School in Pleasant Hills, PA, and later was a 1954 graduate of Carlo University. She moved to Cuba from Strykersville in 1999. Sandra was a registered dietitian and retired after 40 years. Later she became a secretary at the Cuba First Baptist Church for 12 years. Sandra was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cuba. She took clothes, furniture and household goods to Christian Appalachian Project in Kentucky she made over 75 trips. Sandra was involved in several local Christian projects including Mother Hubbard’s cupboards, bundle up babies, and the pencils and crayon project. Sandra loved hearing Larry play music. She also enjoyed flower gardening and needlework. Sandra was known for being a caring and giving person. Along with her loving husband, Larry, Sandra is survived by; a stepson, David L. (Julie) Lathrop of Marilla; 2 stepdaughters, Amy L. Lathrop of Lackawanna, and Kathleen M. Lathrop of Orchard Park; a sister, Andrea (Stephen) Michaels of Pittsburg, PA; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sandra was predeceased by her parents, and a stepdaughter Donna J. Good. At this time there will be no Services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Genesee Pkwy, Cuba.
