Hitchcock, of 194 Route 16 South, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Marilyn was born on November 23, 1938 in Dunkirk and was a daughter of the late Ralph and Elizabeth Myrtle Lanski Fox, Sr. On October 19, 1957, in Dunkirk, she married her husband of 63 years the love of her life, Harvard M. She was a member of the Knapp Creek Trinity United Methodist Church. Marilyn enjoyed traveling to most of the states in the US. She loved to go on cruises with her family members, where she was able to see Hawaii, the Bahamas, and Mexico. Marilyn also loved going out to eat with her husband, Harvey. They were well-known regulars at their favorite restaurants, including The Beef n Barrel. Often they would have to call ahead to advise the staff there was a need for a table for 20 for the Hitchcocks. Marilyn was a dedicated and loving mother. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. Marilyn especially loved her role as a grandmother. She centered her life around her family, always having and open door policy. Marilyn was an amazing cook, hosting family frequently, and holiday meals for 20 plus people was not uncommon. She will be deeply missed by the family she leaves behind.
