Sharon N. Spencer of 3837 Witter Road, Cuba, passed away Sunday March 16, 2014 at home, after a long fight with cancer.
Born on December 19, 1939, Sharon was the daughter of the late Raymond Boser and Nancy Rickicki. On August 19, 1995 she married her soul mate and love of her life Clifton F. Spencer, who survives.
Sharon was a 1957 graduate of Richburg Central School. She retired from ACME Electric Corp. after 41 years of service, during which time she held many positions, the last one being that of Warehouse Coordinator. Sharon was a past member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Olean, during which time she served as congregational secretary, financial secretary and was a member of the Ruth Guild. For the past 20 years Sharon has been a member of the Haskell Valley Church. On August 19, 2005 Sharon and her husband, Cliff renewed their wedding vows in the Haskell Valley Church. Sharon enjoyed reading, crocheting, and going fishing and camping with her husband. Most of all she enjoyed being outdoors, walking in the woods and sitting on the dock watching the fish swim in their pond.
In addition to her loving husband, Cliff, and their dog, Toby, Sharon is survived by three brothers, Roy Boser of Houston, TX, Dominic (Julie) Rickicki of Richburg, and Van (Victoria) Rickicki of Nennan, GA; and one sister, Tammy (Bill) McMahon of Machias.
Sharon was predeceased by her first husband, Hugh Lawton who was the father of her children; her daughters, Elizabeth Lawton Todd, and Vanessa Warner; and her beloved dog, CoCo.
Friends will be received Tuesday March 18, 2014 at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #24 Genesee Pkwy, Cuba, NY from 9:00AM to 10:00 AM, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. Robert D. Kaple, Pastor of the Haskell Valley Community Church, assisted by his wife, Patricia will officiate. Burial will be at the Allegany Cemetery.
