Hinsdale - Charles A. Greenawalt "Loving Father & Grampa"
Charles A. Greenawalt, of 1130 MacDuffie Drive, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Cuba Memorial Hospital, following an illness.
Charles was born on Nov. 7, 1942 in Warren, PA and was a son of Merle and Evelyn Jones Greenawalt. On Dec. 28, 1963 in Coudersport, PA, he married his wife of 53 years, Mary K. Gillon, who predeceased him on Jan. 5, 2017.
Charles was a graduate of the Warren High School. He earned his Associate's Degree in Drafting from Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, PA. Charles worked at Dresser Rand in Olean for 46 years as a Draftsman where he retired from in 2010. He enjoyed going to lunch with the Dresser Retirees Group, reading the paper, and watching old western movies.
Charles is survived by; 2 children, Lori B. Greenawalt and Mark E. (Heather) Greenawalt both of Hinsdale; 4 grandchildren, Andrew C., Noah A., Alli R. and Jonah M; 1 sister-in-law, JoAnn Greenawalt of Warren, PA; and several nieces and nephews
Charles was predeceased by his parents and 3 brothers, William, Sherwood, and Jim.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State Street, Olean, on Sunday, January 13, 2019 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at which time a Memorial Service will be held.
