Jeannine M. Baker, 85, of 228 N. 5th St., passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 with her loving children at her side in the Olean General Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Jeannine was born Dec. 18, 1928 in Buffalo and was a devoted daughter of Angelo Antonio and Lillian E. Clark DiGregorio.
Jeannine was a receptionist at the Linwood Center in Olean. She loved animals of all kinds and was a dog breeder of German Shepards and Boxers. An avid Buffalo Bills fan, she also enjoyed playing cards and the opera. Jeannine loved people and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jeannine is survived by two sons, Anthony (Lori) Kijewski of Allegany, and Bill (Pam) Baker of Olean; one daughter, Cathy Hanmann of Olean; nine grandchildren, Shannan (Chester) Francois, Renee (Kevin) Martinelli, Alison Baker, Ashley (Tara Weatherley) Baker, Andrea Baker, Craig Baker, Chris (Deb) Hanmann, Brianna and Brittany Richardson; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Marilyn (Don) Mergenhagen of Orchard Park; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Wed. March 12, 2014 at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. from 4PM to 7PM at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. David E. Tourville, Parochial Vicar of St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Buffalo at the family's convenience.
