Sandra S. Threehouse

Sandra S. Threehouse of Tompkins Street, passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015 at the Pines Nursing Home, surrounded by her family and the caring staff of the Pines. Sandy was born Sept. 11, 1938 in Olean and was a daughter of John and Francis Perret Threehouse. She graduated from Olean High School in 1957. Sandy attended the New Penn Beauty School in Bradford and became a licensed cosmetologist. Sandy worked for several years at the A&P and later at the Park 'n Shop in Allegany. Before her illness, Sandy attended the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. Sandy was a strong, independent woman who was well known for her hard work, wonderful cooking, and deep love for her friends and family. She enjoyed watching her son and later, her grandsons, play sports and was considered a "second mom" by many whom she loved dearly. Her greatest joy came from helping and caring for others and spending time with her grandchildren. Sandra is survived by a son, Michael A. (Brenda) Threehouse of Olean; two grandsons, Patrolman Kyle M. (Annie) Threehouse & Tyler J. (Breanna) Threehouse; one great grandson, James P. Threehouse; one sister, Sharon (Dr. Edward) Jordan of Portville; her life-long friend, Anne Worth; and many more special relatives and friends. Sandra was predeceased by seven siblings, Ronald, James and John Threehouse, June Threehouse Gallets, Virginia Threehouse Kenyon, Barbara Threehouse Case, and Mary Threehouse Graham. Friends will be received on Wednesday Oct. 7, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E. State St., Olean, where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday Oct. 8, 2015 at 10:00 am. The Rev. Gregory J. Dobson, of the St. Mary of the Angels Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Elm & Carlton Streets, Buffalo, New York 14263 or to the Rehabilitation Center, 1439 Buffalo Street, Olean, New York 14760.
