Alfred J "A.J." Taylor of 416 Alder Street, went home to be with Jesus, Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at the Olean General Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
A.J. was born Feb. 13, 1952 in Olean and was a son of Earl I. and Flossie Pilon Taylor. On July 15, 1995 in Olean, he married Betty L. Dimpfl-Taylor, who survives.
A.J. worked at Cameron in Emporium, PA until 1985 when they closed. He then moved to Texas for a period of time, then back to Olean. A.J. and his wife moved to Michigan where he worked at Midwest Forge Company in Sturgis. After a year they returned to Olean. A.J. attended the Olean Revival Center and enjoyed fishing and antique cars.
Along with his loving wife, A.J. is survived by three children, Angel F. Dimpfl of Gastonia, NC, Kimberly S. Dimpfl of Springville, and Amy L. Dimpfl of Olean; one adopted stepson, Larry L. Ordway, Jr. of Olean; six grandchildren, Brandon, Andrew, Dustin, Adam, Elizabeth, and Sara; three great grandchildren, Conner, Kolten, and Michael; seven siblings, Daniel (Nina) Pilon of Safety Harbor, FL, Jackson Taylor of Coudersport, PA, Faith (Ross) Seltzer of Keating Summit, PA, Suzanne Taylor of Exeter, PA, Norman Taylor of Port Allegany, PA, Dawn (Andrew) Bristol of Coudersport, PA, and Darlene (David) Darush of Roulette, PA; and many nieces & nephews.
A.J. was predeceased by his father, Earl and his maternal grandmother.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E. State St., Olean, on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. Ron Frazier, Pastor of the Olean Revival Center, will officiate. Burial will be in the Hinsdale Cemetery.
