Andrew M. Carney

Andrew M. Carney, 63, formerly of Ransomville, passed away Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Olean General Hospital. Andy was born in Dubois, PA to Richard and Anna Mae Carney. Andy grew up in Wilson where he graduated in 1972 from Wilson Senior High School. He worked at Pfeiffer Foods from 1972 until shortly before the plant was closed. Andy loved to hunt. He did whatever he could to be able to be out in the woods. That was where Andy was happiest. Andy is survived by his children, Shannon M. Stoelting of Niagara Falls, and Andrew M. (Sierra Jones) Carney, Jr. of Ransomville; six grandchildren, Alexander, Jacob, Devin, Jacob, Joe, and Savanna; his siblings, Betty (Roy) Baker of Mountain Top, PA, Rick Carney of West Palm Beach, FL, Richard (Jan) Wright of Newfane, Katherine (Richard) Reinhart of Big Run, PA, Missy (Will) McAmis of Halett, WY, and Karla Knopic of Pinedale, WY; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Filmore Chapel United Methodist Church, 2523 Youngstown-Wilson Road, Ransomville, NY 14131. A small luncheon will be held after at the Country Roadhouse Inn, 2989 Ridge Road, Ransomville, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E.
