Virginia Yaudes of 513 North 8th Street, for over 60 years, passed away Tuesday April 12, 2011 in the Absolut at Allegany surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Yaudes was born on Jan. 5, 1923 in Olean and was a daughter of Lenard and Cecelia Clutterbuck. On Aug. 29, 1949 in Olean she married her husband of 45 years John L. Yaudes, who pre-deceased her on Dec. 7, 1994. Mrs. Yaudes worked for a number of places including ACME in Allegany, Weston's Shopper City, Desoto Motel and later Hills Department Store and then AMES Departments Store before her retirement in 2001. Her family was her life. She loved them very much and enjoyed spending time with them at family gatherings. She also loved her dog "Babe".
Surviving Mrs. Yaudes are a son, Paul V. (Mario Tennes) Capozzi of Los Angelus, Ca.; two daughters, Charlene M. Dugrenier of Olean, and Sharon L. (Mark) Friel of Olean; a special daughter-in-law, Adele Chisholm of Olean; nine grandchildren, John T. (Ann) Yaudes, Shayne M. Yaudes, Joel R. Yaudes, Lisa J. Yaudes-Goodwill, Jamie L. Friel, Traci A. (Ty) Ellis, Tina Marie Williams, Paula J. Williams and Irene M. Williams; several great and great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Yaudes was pre-deceased by two children, Jack Thomas Yaudes on Aug. 10, 1999 and Sandra J. Nixson on Sept. 16, 2009; and two grandsons, Dale Williams and Harry Williams.
Friends will be received in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean on Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at which time Funeral and Committal Services will be held the Rev. Gregory J. Dobson, Pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. View Cemetery Veteran Field of Honor in Olean. Online condolences may be made clicking on the button above.
