Della L. Rambuski, of 5985 East Arbor Street, formerly of 1502 Four Mile Road, Allegany, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016, at her home.
Della was born May 7, 1925 in Allegany and was a daughter of John and Dell Blair Dutton. On April 10, 1940 in Hinsdale, she married her husband of 66 years, Walter R. Rambuski, who predeceased her on Jan. 9, 2007.
Della attended Hinsdale High School. She worked at AVX in Olean in the 1950's for about 3 years. Then Della took some time to raise her family before going to work at the Family Bargain Center for 2 years. She was a member of the Allegany First Free Methodist Church, where she served on both of the Hospitality and Mission Committees. Della and her husband were members of the Senior's Club. She enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, quilting, cooking, having family picnics, and going to the county fairs. Della loved being with her family, who were her whole life.
Della is survived by six children, Genevieve E. Hartwick & Tom Wandover of Inverness, FL, Richard R. (Pat) Rambuski of Inverness, FL, Ronald W. (Debbie) Rambuski of Honeoye Falls, NY, Barbie A. (Richard) Harrowerof Kennedy, NY, John A. Rambuski of Citrus Springs, FL, and James B. (Diane) Rambuski of Mayville, NY; 14 grandchildren, including David Rambuski of Allegany, NY; 13 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren
Along with her loving husband, Della was predeceased by a grandson, Chris E. Rambuski; three siblings, Genevieve Dutton Putt, Albert Dutton, and Leo Dutton; and a daughter-in-law, Lynn Rambuski.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean, NY on March 22 from 6 PM to 9 PM and on March 23 from 11 AM to 12 PM with a funeral service to follow. The Rev. Glenn Treaster will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean, NY.
