Wayne A. Nottingham

June 12, 1949 — June 2, 2016

Wayne A. Nottingham, Sr. of 204 Hardy Corner Road, formerly of Olean, passed away on Thursday June 2, 2016 at home from an apparent heart attack. Wayne was born on June 12, 1949 in North Tonawanda and was a son of James and Noreen Shoen Nottingham. He was formerly married to Beverly Chatfield. On Dec. 21, 1991, he married Linda S. Conner, who survives. Wayne worked as a Machinist at Harrison Radiator, which became Delphi in Buffalo for over 30 years, retiring in 2005. He also worked as a Machinist at Buffalo Pumps and St. Mary's Machine Shop. Wayne was a life-long member of the NRA and a member of the Franklinville VFW. He was formerly a member of the Union Auto Works Union. Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and anything outdoors, but he truly enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with his wife, Wayne is survived by his mother, Noreen S. Bagley of Punxsutawney, PA; three children, Tammy M. (Gary) Schmahl of Shermansdale, PA, Wayne A. (Dianna) Nottingham, Jr. of Niagara Falls, and Eric J. Nottingham of Olean; ten grandchildren, Wayne A. Nottingham, III, Samantha K. Nottingham, James P. Nottingham, Krista L. Belward, Beau G. Nottingham, Jake E. Nottingham, Ryan M. Watson, Brittany A. Watson, Shardae L. Schmahl, and Natalie J. Schmahl; nine great grandchildren; four siblings, Paul (Tammy) Nottingham of Grotton, MA, Jim Nottingham of LaBelle, FL, Lee (Sherry) Nottingham of Elmira, and Valerie (Shane Kelley) Nottingham of Centerville, VA; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E. State St., Olean Wed. June 8, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and again on Thursday June 9, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. Millard C. Cook, Associate Pastor of the Olean First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. View Cemetery Veteran's Field of Honor in Olean. Full military honor's will be accorded by the Allegany American Legion Charles Harbel Post #892. Online condolences may be made by clicking the button above.
