Olean – William B. "Ciderman Bill" McFall
William B. "Ciderman Bill" McFall, of 1216 North Union Street, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021, at the Olean General Hospital, following a short illness.
William was born May 31, 1940 in Olean and was a son of William S. and Dorothy M. Rhody McFall. He was formerly married to Kathy and Deloris.
William was a 1958 graduate of Olean High School. He served in the US Navy from August 13, 1958 to November 17, 1978. William was an Eagle Scout. He worked for many years at Cummins Cider Mill in Portville, where he was known as "Ciderman Bill" by his friends. William enjoyed watching sports, especially the Buffalo Bills and the New York Yankees.
William is survived by; 2 sons, William (Jill) McFall and their 3 children of Troy, ID and Thomas McFall of McArthur, OH; a brother, Jon I. McFall of Olean; many nieces and nephews; and several close friends, including Donny E. Leilous, Jr. of Shinglehouse, PA.
William was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Terry S. McFall.
A Graveside service will be held at the Allegany Cemetery in Allegany on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Full military honors will be accorded by the Allegany American Legion, Charles Harbel Post #892 Ritual Team.
