Olean – Wendy L. Auvil "Loving Wife, Mother, and Sister"
Wendy L. Auvil, of 1028 River Street, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the Olean General Hospital, following a brief illness.
Wendy was born on August 5, 1970 in Olean and was a daughter of John LeRoy and Pearl Rebecca Weatherley Brown. On September 25, 1999, at the Olean Revival Center, she married her husband of 21 years, Danny L. Auvil, who survives.
Wendy became disabled when she was about 40 years of age. She became ordained through Living Waters Ministry out of Clear Spring, MD in 2012. Wendy was formerly a member of the Church of God of Prophecy and Church of God in Christ. She enjoyed crafting and being a stay at home mother and wife, but she truly loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren, family, and her church.
Along with her loving husband, Danny, Wendy is survived by; 2 children, Latoria R. (John C. Tait) Brown and Ahmad R. Burney both of Olean; 5 grandchildren, John, Kymora, Jaidyn, Kieran, and Ezma; 3 great grandchildren, Tayvonte, Zarina, and Jayceon; 3 siblings, Rodney (Adelia) Brown of Friendship, Ronny Brown and Paula Ruthermill both of Olean; and many nieces and nephews.
Wendy was predeceased by her parents.
