Olean- Wayne Trevor “Skipper” Mooney Jr. “Loving Husband and Father”
Wayne Trevor “Skipper” Mooney Jr. of 129 ½ S. 2nd street passed away on Friday December 16, 2022, at Olean General Hospital following an illness.
Skipper was born on February 24, 1968, in Seattle, Washington and was the son of Wayne Sr. and Linda Dunnick Mooney. He married Marcia Isabel on October 31, 1998, who predeceased him in 2000. He married his loving wife, Diana L. Bradley in a commitment ceremony on June 20, 2020, who survives.
Skipper worked as a telemarketer for several years and moved to Jamestown in 1996 where he worked for Bush Brother Industries for several years before moving back to Olean around 2013. Skipper enjoyed playing video games, watching TV, the Seattle Seahawks, Portland Trailblazers, and the Seattle Mariners. Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed a good laugh telling jokes. Skipper was a big fan of the Eagles’ music.
Along with his loving wife, Diana, Skipper is survived by five children, Marcus Weinell of Shoreline, WA., Zoey Allen of Jamestown, Wayne “Trevor” Mooney III and Josh S. Mooney, both of Steamburg, Laurena S. Mooney of Great Valley, three siblings, Mickael (Louise) Mooney of Athol, ID., Pam (Keith) Linden of Washington, Robert (Blaze) Mooney of Australia, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean on Wednesday December 21, 2022 from 4:00-5:00pm at which time a Memorial Service will be held.
