Verna L. Middaugh of 5633 County Road 31A, passed away at home on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012 following an illness.
Verna was born on Sept. 24, 1965 in Cuba and was a daughter of Roger V. Middaugh Sr. & Dorothy E. Denning Middaugh.
Verna was a 1983 graduate of Belmont High School. She also graduated from BOCES Cosmetology School and was a Licensed Cosmetologist. She worked for a number of places including Chris Markets in Belmont, Cuba Memorial Hospital, ACORD in Wellsville and Centex in Allegany. Verna also worked for Home Health Care in Wellsville and would do private duty home care. She enjoyed flower gardening, was an avid Buffalo Bills Fan and scratch off Lottery Tickets. She truly loved her niece-Emily and nephew -Tim and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a very loving and caring person who was a special friend to many people.
Surviving Verna besides her parents are a sister, Dawn M. (Timothy "Cooter") Doherty of Belmont; a niece, Emily Doherty; and a nephew, Timothy Doherty, Jr.
Verna was pre-deceased by two infant brothers, Roger Vernon and Jason Paul Middaugh.
Friends will be received in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #24 Genesee Pkwy, Cuba on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at which time a Memorials Services will be held. The Rev. Dennis Mancuso, Pastor of Our Lady of the Angels Church in Cuba, will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Amity Rescue Squad.
