Thomas L. Kinnaird, Sr. of 2404 Blakeslee Hollow, formerly of 4601 Gile Hollow Road, passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008 at home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Kinnaird was born on Dec. 12, 1922 in Olean and was a son of the late Andrew and Larena Spencer Kinnaird.
Mr. Kinnaird was a Patrolman of the Olean Police Department for over 21 Years retiring in about 1978. He was a manager for the "Dog Hausa" in the Olean Center Mall for several years starting in 1988. Mr. Kinnaird was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting & Fishing & Trapping. He was a life member of the Hinsdale Fire Department and the Cattaraugus County and the New York State Trappers Association. Mr. Kinnaird was also a member of the AM Vets Club.
Surviving Mr. Kinnaird are four sons, Steve (Judy) Kinnaird of Mel born, Fl., Thomas L. (Linda) Kinnaird, Jr. of Olean, Brian (Gail) Kinnaird of Olean, and Andrew R. (Cassie) Kinnaird of Hornell; three daughters, Debora (Jerry) Cummins of Allegany, Millie (Greg) Jedrosko of Olean, and Linda (Karl) Jergens of Lacey, Washington; 24 grandchildren; a special friend, Mary A. Carden of Chewelah, Washington; three brothers, Ted (Linda) Kinnaird of Huston, Texas, Elmer (Arlica) Tompkins of Mexico, and Matt (Helen) Kinnaird of Little Valley; three sisters, Laurie Corson of Anchorage, Alaska, Betty (Vick) Faulkner of Crystal Rock, Washington, and Janice Gerringer of Eldred, Pa.; and several nieces & nephews.
Friends will be received in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008 from 4-7 PM at which time a Memorial Services will be held. The Rev. Richard N. Keel will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean.
