Thomas F. Kenyon of 1026 Buffalo Street passed away Friday, April 6, 2012 in Olean General Hospital following an illness.
Tom was born August 6, 1938 in Olean and he was a son of Frederick and Eleanor Shear Kenyon. On Dec. 25, 1966 in Olean he married his wife Corrine Ferrio, who survives.
Tom, being a life long resident of Olean, was a 1946 graduate of Olean High School. He served in the US Army from Sept. 18, 1956 to Nov. 1, 1958. Tom began working at Clark Brothers in Olean and retired after about forty years in the year 2000. Tom would also cook periodically at the St. Stephens Club where he was a long time member. Tom enjoyed reading, NASCAR and flower gardening he was a volunteer for "Toys for Tots Program". He will be remembered as a man who was always active doing something but more importantly he was a very generous and giving man who always put the needs of other's first.
Surviving besides his loving wife 45 years are three sons, Daniel T. Martin, Timmy Joe Martin and Donald P. (Jodie) Martin all of Olean; a daughter, LouAnn (David) Maull of Olean; eight grand children, Mindy Phillips, Donny Martin, Michell Martin, Janelle Martin, Jarred Martin Jamie Margeson, Kyle Margeson and Davin Maull; four great grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Kenyon of Florida; a sister, Carol Fie of Portville; and several nieces & nephews.
Friends will be received on Monday, April 9, 2012 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean. Where Funeral Services will ne held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 11:30 am. The Rev. Daniel E. McDowell, Pastor of the Olean First Baptist Church will officiate.
