Olean- Thomas William Frank Sr. “Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather & Great Grandfather” 

 Thomas W. Frank Sr. of 2nd Ave passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Cuba Memorial Hospital 

 Tom was born on June 2, 1940, and was the son of James and Helen Ann Ehart Frank. On July 29, 1989, at the Old Library in Olean, he married Shirley Jean Knapp, who survives. 

 Tom was a 1958 graduate of Nativity High School in Pottsville, PA. He served for 20 years in the US Army from 1958 until 1978. After he moved to Olean from Coudersport, he worked for Cattaraugus County Drug & Alcohol department until his retirement. Tom also worked for Union News, Sears Department Store as a salesman for a number of years. He loved to travel and vacation and visited almost all 50 states. Tom was a member of the Olean American Legion Post 530, the Olean VFW Post 1619, and the Pulaski Club

 In addition to his loving wife, Shirley, Tom is survived by his 4 children: Thomas (Shannon Russell) Frank of Yorba Linda, CA., Helen Ann (John) Hernandez of San Antonio, TX., Leisa W. (David) McGonnell of Olean, and Curt A. (Sally) Walsh of Olean, 2 grandchildren, Amanda L. (Bradley) Wright of Olean, Nicholas J. Walsh of Lake Tahoe, CA., 2 great grandchildren, Genevieve and Addlyn Wright, 2 siblings: John (Marlene) Frank of Farmington, MN and Patricia (Raymond) Greene of Hegins, PA., many nieces, and nephews. 

 Tom was predeceased by his parents, a son, Paul Walsh, and a brother, James Frank. 

Friends will be received on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., from 11:00am to 12:00pm at which time a memorial service will be held. Full military honors will be accorded by the Allegany American Legion Charles Harbel Post 892 ritual team at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery.
