Bradford- Shirley M. Mason “Loving Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother” 

 Shirley M. Mason, 87, formerly of Limestone, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the Bradford Manor with her loving family by her side. 

 Shirley was born on September 12, 1937, in Bradford and was the daughter of Charles and Cecil Munday. On August 24, 1957, in the Free Methodist Church in Allegany she married the love of her life, Jack R. Mason who predeceased her on October 3, 2023. 

 Shirley was a 1956 graduate of Limestone Central School. She worked at Monica’s Restaurant in Allegany, NY and Publix in Florida. She moved and lived in Florida for about 15 years before moving back to Limestone in 2003. 

 Shirley was a scorekeeper for husband Jack while he coached Chipmonk Baseball for 32 years. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. 

Shirley is survived by 4 children, Jeffrey L. (Chris) Mason of Allegany, Greg R. (Cathy) Mason of Bradford, PA, Denise M. (Carolyn Schultz) Mason of Harpers Ferry, WV, Jackie R. (Shea) Woods of Limestone; 7 grandchildren, Toddrick Mason, Shanell (Chris) Collins, Shaelynn Woods, Shawn (Sara) Mason, Brad (Melissa) Mason, Jeffrey Mason, Anthony (Hilary) Mason and 11 great grandchildren.

Shirley was predeceased by her husband, her parents, an infant son, Todd M. Mason, and brother Gerald Munday. 

At Shirley’s request, there will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Limestone Cemetery at 2:00pm Monday, November 11, 2024.
