Kane – Shawn K. Smith “Loving Uncle”
Shawn K. Smith of 407 Sedgwick Street, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at his home.
Shawn was born on April 2, 1953, in Olean and was the son of Daniel and Frances Rogers Smith.
Shawn worked on the family farm and at PWI in Wellsville for about 5 years before becoming disabled. He also helped take care of his sister Paulette and his mother, Frances.
Shawn enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching wrestling and western shows but most of all he loved being outdoors.
Shawn is survived by; 2 children, Frances (Ross) Woodin and Daniel Smith; many nieces and nephews including a niece, Connie L. (Jerry) Blum and her family Susie, Doug, Jennifer, and Sophia; 2 grandchildren; and 6 siblings, Larry (Cathy) Smith, Clarence Smith, Donna (Jim) Good, Susie Smith, Joe (Delores) Smith and Beverly Smith.
Shawn was predeceased by; his parents; a son, Shawn Smith, Jr. and 12 siblings, Shirley VanDaruff, Lester Smith, Virginia Stonum, Mary Strup, Charles Smith, Paulette R. Stives, Daniel Smith, Dorothy Smith, Stella Smith, Nancy Lockwood, Bonnie Smith and Debra Smith.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Genesee Pkwy, on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at which time a funeral service will be held. The Rev.
