          Olean - Sandra M. Struble  

            Sandra M. Struble, formerly of 405 North 11th Street, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at The Pines Health and Rehab in Machias, following a lengthy illness.

            Sandra was born on Dec. 11, 1937 in Olean and was a daughter of Lewis Wesley and Margaret Ester Spears Struble.  She was a 1955 graduate of Olean High School.

            Sandra worked at Daystrum Furniture for a couple of years before going to work at St. Bonaventure University in the Friedsam Memorial Library in the Cataloging Department and the Technical Services Department as a clerk, where she worked for 42 years, retiring in 2002.  She is formerly a member of the Olean First Presbyterian Church. 

            Sandra was a very active bowler in the Women's International Bowling Conference and bowled with local leagues for many years.  She also participated in tournaments throughout the United States.  In addition to bowling, Sandra enjoyed traveling, crafts, puzzles, playing cards, and was an avid St. Bonaventure Basketball fan.  She also enjoyed her family.

            Sandra is survived by; 9 nieces and nephews, Diane Weatherell of Olean, Deborah (Fenton) McGonnell of Durham, NC, Doreen (Michael) Jennings of Arvada, CO, Danny (Karen) Struble of Hillsborough, NC, Mickey Struble of Lake Mary, FL, David Weatherell of Superior, CO, Donald (Jennifer) Weatherell of Hattiesburg, MS, Kathy (Chris) Snyder of Lutz, FL, and Karen (Brice) Urquhart of Lexington, SC; and many, many great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, and great great nephews.

            Sandra was predeceased by; a sister, Dorothy Weatherell on Dec. 31, 2012 and a brother, Lewis Struble on July 16, 2016.

            A Memorial Service will be held at the Doyle Hall Chapel at St. Bonaventure University on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 4:00 PM.  The Rev. Gerry Piper will officiate.  Friends are invited to a reception immediately following the service.  Internment will be in the Allegany Cemetery.
