Olean- Sally A. Butler “Loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother”
Sally A. Butler of 2901 W. River Rd passed away on April 1, 2022, at Olean General Hospital following an illness.
Sally was born on August 18, 1933, in Olean and was the daughter of William Patrick and Lottie Jennie Myers McAdam. On May 22, 1954, in St. Mary of the Angels Church she married her loving husband of 68 years Thomas H. Butler, who survives.
Being a lifelong Olean resident, Sally was a graduate of Olean High School class of 1951. She worked in various capacities for AT&T for a number of years. She was a member of St. Mary’s of the Angels Church and was an avid St. Bonaventure Basketball fan, holding season tickets for decades. Sally also enjoyed watching the New York Yankees as well as the Buffalo Bills.
Sally devoted her time, attention & love to her family, especially her son and grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by everyone who ever met her as a truly sweet, caring and amazingly loving person.
Sally is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Butler, a son, Timothy Butler of Olean, three grandchildren, Jackson V. Butler, and twins Carson P. & Lauryn G. Butler, one sister, Betty Hallack.
Sally was predeceased by her parents and an infant grandson, Thomas Butler.
Friends will be received today, Monday April 4, 2022, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday April 4, 2022, at 10:00 AM in the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels. Father Ross Chamberlin, OSM will Celebrate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.
