Rosemary T. Rishel of 1265 Congress Road, passed away today, January 13, 2011 at home following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Rishel was born on July 7, 1942 in Lockhaven, PA and was the daughter of Boyd A. and Marion E. McKinney King. On July 17, 1965, in Lockhaven, PA, she married Charles A. Rishel, who survives.
Rosemary was a 1961 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Lockhaven, PA. She worked at a number of places including Weston's Shopper's City, VICO, AVX, and as a Substitute Teacher's Aide at Olean Junior High School for a short period of time. In 1985 Rosemary retired following an automobile. She enjoyed softball, bowling, bingo, hunting, and computer games.
In addition to her husband of 45 years, she is survived by a son, Charles K. (Jill A. Golembiewski) Rishel of Hinsdale; three daughters, Kimberly D. (Tom) Childs of Olean, Valerie A. (Ed Howard) Rishel of West Windfield, NY, and Lynda N. Rishel of Allegany; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Jeannie A. (Stephan) Bower of Lockhaven, PA; two nephews, Michael S. Bower, and Stephen P. Bower, Jr.; a niece, Tammy L. (Matthew M. Guerriero) Bower; and several great nieces and nephews.
A private Memorial Service will be held at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean. The Rev. Samuel Marchetta Chaplain of Home Care & Hospice will officiate.
