Olean- Rosemary E. Larrabee “Loving Mother, Grandmother & Sister”
Rosemary E. Larrabee of 350 Front Street, Aspen Towers Apt 611 passed away on, Friday June 10, 2022, shortly after arrival at the Olean General Hospital following a brief illness.
Rosemary was born on December 14, 1951, in Olean and was the daughter of Leon L. and Lillian R. Maynard Larrabee. She was formerly married to Claude Miller and Stanly Gilcrest.
Rosemary was an artist. She has two paintings in the Buffalo Museum of Art, and has sold many of her works. Rosemary painted on buildings, saw blades, rocks, and anything that could hold paint. Rosemary traveled up and down the east coast making new friends while picking apples and potatoes before working for Tropicana for 20 years until she became injured. She returned to the Olean area in the 90s. Rosemary enjoyed family and friends the most.
Rosemary is survived by her 3 children, Lonnie J. (Maria Welka) Miller, Tanya M. (David) Hand of Hinsdale, and Shon P. Miller, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren, 4 siblings; Merle J. “Jim” (Patricia) Larrabee of Portville, Mildren E. (Sonnie) Wymer of Hinsdale, Connie L. (Harald) Lockwood of Belmont, Dale Marie (Donald) Lockwood of Olean, 2 sisters in law, Joyce Larrabee and Jane Larrabee, and many nieces and nephews. Rosemary had a special friend and HHA named Jamiee Deckman.
Rosemary was predeceased by her parents, daughter, Rhonda Larrabee, sisters, Patricia Larrabee and Jean Whitwood, and brothers Ernest Larrabee and Leon Larrabee.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean on Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the Funeral Home. The Rev. Tyrone Hall will officiate. Burial will be in the Allegany Cemetery.
