Robert Wayne Weatherell of 310 East Riverside Drive, formerly of 48 Academy Salamanca, passed away Tuesday May 11, 2010 in the Olean General Hospital.
Mr. Weatherell was born on July 20, 1929 and was the son of Arthur and Lova Clawson Weatherell. On November 25, 1983 in Dunkirk, he married his wife of 26 years, Carol A. Weatherell, who survives.
Mr. Weatherell was a brick layer for many years. While working as a brick layer, he worked on the Hinsdale High School and the Dudley Hotel in Salamanca. He then became a Butcher for Tops in Dunkirk where he worked for over 20 years and retired in 1987 due to illness. Mr. Weatherell truly enjoyed being with his family.
Surviving Mr. Weatherell besides his wife are a son, Frank (Peggy) Weatherell of Lockport; two daughters, Angela M. (Jeremy) App, and Jenni L. Weatherell both of Olean; and three grandchildren, Gage M. Weatherell, Owen M. App and Kaylie Foskit.
Mr. Weatherell was predeceased by a brother, Donald A Weatherell, on Dec. 25, 2002.
Friends may attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean. The Rev. LaVern Seeking, Robert's Brother-In-Law will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean.
