Robert E. Bishop

Mr. Robert E. Bishop, Jr. of 822 Garden Avenue, Olean passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at home on from natural causes. Mr. Bishop was born in Olean on Dec. 2, 1967 and was the son of Robert E. and Marie A. Levia Bishop, Sr. He worked at Qwik Pack & Ship before going to work at ALCAS where he worked for the past 12 years. He enjoyed playing golf, was a New York Giant's fan and enjoyed spending time with his friends at State King, where he played darts and pool. Mr. Bishop is survived by his mother and step-father, Marie A. (Lanny) Clayson of Cuba; his father, Robert E. Bishop, Sr. of Andover; a son, Robert E. Bishop, III of Nuncia, MI; a granddaughter, Carley Jean Bishop; two brothers, Daniel A. (Stephanie) Bishop of Locust Grove, GA, and Steven A. Bishop of Panama City, FL; a step brother, Hiram E. Clayson of Franklinville; three sisters, Christine M. (Donald) Van Etten of Portville, Alisha A. (Greg) Cappini of Medina, NY, and Jackie E. Bishop of Medina, NY; two step sisters, Heidi L. Clayson of Franklinville, and Katrina M. Nelson of Wellsville; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bishop is pre-deceased by his stepfather, Jack A. Tarr, who helped raise him. Friends will be received in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean on Sunday, January 25, 2009 from 1-5 P.M. at which time a funeral and committal service will be held. The Rev. Ronald L. Reichman, Chaplain at OGH will officiate. Burial will be in the Hinsdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Locks of Love, 234 Southern Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL 33405.
