Rebecca Ann Hatcher of 161 South 25th St., Eden Heights, formerly of Amarillo Texas and Hinsdale, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013 shortly after arrival at the Olean General Hospital following an apparent heart attack, surrounded by her loving family.
Rebecca Ann was born on Oct. 24, 1948 in Childress, Texas and was a daughter of Floyd L. and Beckie Love Hatcher, Sr. She moved to Olean from Amarillo in November 2009. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church and Total Senior Care. She enjoyed reading and especially the Bible, going to church, watching TV, participating in activates at Eden Heights and going to Total Senior Care twice a week. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a very happy, friendly & out going person who was a ray of sunshine to all that knew her.
Surviving Rebecca are a sister, Wanda J. Beattie of Hinsdale; two brothers, Floyd L. (Lorene) Hatcher, Jr. of Childress, Texas, and Charles E. (Carol) Hatcher of Tulia, Texas; and several nieces & nephews.
Friends will be received at the United Pentecostal Church on Wednesday April 10, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. Steven W. Beattie, Pastor and her nephew, will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Paris, Texas.
