Olean-Raymond S. Kennedy “Loving Son, Brother & Friend”

Raymond S. Kennedy of 311 N. 6^th Street, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at the Erie County Medical Center, from injuries sustained in a electric bike accident.

Ray was born on June 7, 1984 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was the son of Ronald S. and Karen L. Spaak Kennedy.

Ray worked for the Grand Rapids Press in Michigan and then for Cascade Car Wash before moving to Kansas City. He continued to move around living in Alabama, Tucson Arizona, and then Olean. 

Ray attended United Pentecostal Church.  He enjoyed racecars, fishing and listening to Old Church Hymns.  Ray enjoyed a variety of music, his favorite singers were Adele, Sia and Jim Reeves.  His favorite radio station was KFMA.  Ray liked to go camping, bowling, playing the electric bass and writing his own music.  He loved animals.

Ray is survived by his parents; a sister, Ashley (John) Crandall all of Meadville, PA; his maternal grandmother; Joyce VanDyke; 2 aunts; Diane Gee and Becky (Ed) Lamberson; an uncle; Larry Kennedy; a special cousin, Joshua Gee; a close friend, David T. Root of Tucson, AZ and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ray was predeceased by; a daughter and a son; his paternal grandmother; Kae Smit and his great grandparents, John and Gertrude Dehaan.
