Odell T. "Spike" Snyder of Olean, formerly of Franklinville, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012.
Spike was born May 26, 1958 in Salamanca and was a son of Victor S. and Pauline J. Adams Snyder. On February 7, 1998, he married Mary A. Strano, who survives. He worked at Pallet Plus in Olean for 4 years until his injury in 2002. Spike enjoyed fishing, Neil Young music and playing bingo. He will always be remembered as a dear friend and family man.
Surviving Spike, besides his wife are a son, Bill; two stepsons, Icar (Kristen) Simon of Olean, and Steven (Dana) Daniels of Salamanca; a special granddaughter, Serenity Durphy; four grandchildren; one brother, Dennis (Lori) Snyder of Franklinville; six sisters, Connie (Charles) Shelly of Great Valley, Linda (Donald) Kellogg of Huntsville, Alabama, Dawn (John Robinson) Snyder of Olean, Kim (Michael) Newhand of Freedom, Debbie (Jeff) Howard of Cuba, and Paula (Bob) Secrist of Rushford; and many many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on, Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, #646 East State Street, Olean, New York from 1pm to 3pm at which time a funeral service will be held. The Rev. Chuck Maine, Pastor of the Epic Church, will officiate.
