Norma J. Milks of 3606 Fay Hollow Road, passed away on Friday, Aug. 30, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Norma was born on July 13, 1936 in Clearfield, Pa. and was a daughter of Blair & Loraine Schimmel Post. On July 24, 1954 she married her loving husband of 59 years John E. Milks who survives.
Norma began working after her children were raised at Crosby Dairy where she was a manager for 8 years. She then worked for the Olean Housing Authority for 27 years retiring 2011. Norma enjoyed cooking, sewing & quilting. She was a member of the Fay Hollow Sun Shine Club and was a very active member of the New York State Trappers Association with her husband. Norma's true love was her grandchildren and great grand children, whom she truly enjoyed being with.
Surviving Norm besides her husband are three sons, John C. Milks of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, Clarke L. Milks of Hinsdale, and Terri C. (Loura) Milks of Hinsdale; a daughter, Brenda K. Winblood of Hinsdale; 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; a sister, Karen "Candy" (John) Panattoni of Niagara Falls, NY; several nieces & nephews; and her beloved dog Annie.
Norma was pre-deceased by a daughter Sherry Marie Milks on Feb. 24, 2013; a sister, Carol Barca; and two brothers, Robert & Edward Post.
There will be no public visitation. A Memorial Service will be held on Wed. Sept. 4, 2013 at 10:00 am in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street Olean. The Rev. Terry L. Jenks, Pastor of the Maplehurst Baptist Church will officiate. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
