Neil Harvey Collins

Genesee- Neil Harvey Collins “Loving Husband, Dad & Papa” 

 Neil H. Collins, 67, of Portville passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025, in his home, with his loving family by his side. 

 Neil was born January 22, 1958, in Olean. On October 22, 1977, Neil married the love of his life, Eileen Hendryx. 

 Neil graduated from Hinsdale Central School in 1976. He entered the workforce upon graduating high school. He began at Acme Electric, working there for 27 years. While working at Acme, Neil worked for Kevin Miller heating. He then worked at Cutco and Dal-Tile for six years. Before retiring, Neil worked for Asplundh for 14 years. 

 Outside of his employment, Neil enjoyed working on his house and spending time in the woods on the hill. As well as many Collins family fun nights. Neil’s greatest accomplishment was being married to his wife Eileen for 47 years, raising his four children, along with building the family home. He enjoyed teaching his children new skills. 

 Neil is survived by his wife, Eileen, a daughter, Jamie (Chris) Wood, three sons, Tim (Keli) Collins, Adam (Carie) Collins, Nick (Daisey) Collins all of Portville, grandchildren; Kaitlynn (Adam), Niccola, Rynae (Peter), Taylor, Maddison (Mason), Andrew, Emily (Tyler), Kyle, Kaeleigh, and Maci, and two great grandchildren; Malakai and Finnegan; a close family friend, Betty (Tom) Harrington.
